Some weddings feel like work. This one felt like hanging out with old friends.
I photographed Emma and Alistair's legal ceremony last autumn, so when they asked me back for the full celebration I already knew it was going to be a good one.
A woodland ceremony at Broadfield Court, led by one of Alistair's friends. Sunshine that just kept getting better. A tipi looking out over some ridiculously good countryside, and a few curious cows making cameo appearances.
The whole day had that relaxed feeling where everything just clicks. No rushing, no fuss — just good people enjoying being together.
Then came the party. An incredible set from Oh Papa, followed by my old wedding industry mate Sam on the decks and the effortlessly cool Andrew Libby on sax. The soundtrack to an absolutely cracking evening.
Beautiful setting, brilliant people, and one of those weddings that reminds me exactly why I love doing this.
Emma and Alistair — thank you for having me along for both chapters of your story. What a day.
